General Questions

What is the duration/timing of the march?

The program begins at 1:00pm. Doors open at 10:00am to allow people to enter the area and get through security. The pre-program event begins at 11:30am. We expect the entire program to be over by 3:00pm.

Should we begin booking hotel accommodations?

Yes, please book your hotels ASAP. JFNA will not be coordinating rooms.

Do we need to register our bus(es)?

Our reserved bus parking lots are now full. While you may still register your bus with us so we know you are coming, we encourage you to park at outer suburban Metro stops to include Vienna, Ashburn, Huntington, Shady Grove, Glenmont, Branch Ave. The registration form is here:

Will we need to pay for bus parking?

Registered buses will not need to pay for bus parking.

What is the closest Metro stop to the march?

The closest Metro stop to the march is the Smithsonian Station on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines. If arriving on the Green or Yellow line from points south, exit at the L’Enfant Plaza Station and walk to the Mall to avoid needing to switch lines. If arriving on the Green or Yellow line from points north, exit at Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter Station and walk to the Mall. If arriving on the Red line, it may be better to get off at Metro Center Station and walk five blocks south to the Mall than needing to switch to another line to access a station closer to the Mall.

Will I need to purchase a Metrocard?

How do I get to the march if I arrive into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)?

Take the Metro Blue line to Smithsonian Station. You may also take the Yellow line to Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter Station.

How do I get to the march if I arrive into BWI-Marshall Airport? 

Take the MARC train to Union Station and walk 25 minutes to the march.

How do I get to the march if I arrive into Dulles International Airport?

Metro’s Silver Line connects directly from Washington Dulles International Airport Station to the Smithsonian Station without a need to change lines.

How do I get to the march if I arrive into Union Station?

It is a 25 minute walk from Union Station to the march.

Where is the check-in/entrance area?

We anticipate a large turnout throughout the National Mall for the event. Video screens with a live audio feed of the program will be available outside the security perimeter on the Mall panels from 12th Street NW to 14th Street NW.

The main queue to enter the march begins on 12th Street NW between Madison Drive NW and Jefferson Drive SW.

Are there any items that are prohibited from being brought into the venue area?

Will there be food available for purchase at the site of the event?

At this time, we are unable to provide food and beverages, you will need to exit the venue and re-enter through a security line. Participants are encouraged to bring food and water into the event area.

Can I bring water into the event space?

Yes, we are strongly encouraging participants to bring water with them.

Will there be EMS services from park services on site?

Yes, we will have EMS on-site for the duration of the event.

What security measures are being taken for this march?

The safety and security of all participants is our highest priority. We are coordinating directly with multiple local and national Law Enforcement agencies including U.S. Park Police, D.C. Metropolitan Police, U.S. Capitol Police, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Metro Transit Police, and other relevant security agencies. We have also retained the services of additional security assets based on recommendations of law enforcement and our security advisors.

What is the messaging around security and counter rallies?

We recognize the real possibility of counter-protests at our event. We are actively working with law enforcement and our security team to ensure we are prepared for counter-protests. Should we experience counter-protests on the grounds, we ask our Federations and community partners not to engage to avoid any unnecessary escalation.

Can I bring a backpack or bag into the event space?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a small bag or backpacks into the event. Backpacks and bags may not exceed 18” x 13” x 7”. (NOTE: suitcases/luggage will not be permitted.)

Can we bring signs and/or wear shirts to the event?

Yes, feel free to bring signs to the event space. Please note that paper signs are allowed, but stakes/poles/sticks/posts are prohibited. Signs may not exceed 12” x 24” x 1/4”. Feel free to design and wear t-shirts for your community.

Can we bring flags to this march?

We will distribute  Israeli hand-flags and American hand-flags available for guests in our event space. You are welcome to bring flags with you but please note that flag-poles and wooden stakes are prohibited. 

Will there be any pre- or post-march events?

The Pre Show Rally For Students Funded By RootOne will take place from 11:30am -12:30pm at the Main Stage.

Students from all over the country — we need your voice! Stand together and united in support of Israel at a special pre-rally show for students. Hear from some big name performers (check back for confirmed details!), social media influencers and people your age most impacted by the events of the last month. Students receive special swag to wear proudly and make your presence known as well as snack bags to keep your energy up! Find your way to the stage once you’ve arrived — we’ll see you there. United we stand!

Stand together with students from:

Can you tell me more about the Teen Program happening before the march?

Will there be plans to visit or lobby our congressional delegation along with the program?

Some local Federations may choose to coordinate visits with their congressional leadership. Participants and partner organizations should reach out to their local Federation to learn more.

Is there a plan to livestream the event for communities not able to travel?

First and foremost, we are encouraging in-person participation for this historic event. Details around possible live stream access will be shared closer to November 14. 

Will there be ASL interpreters?

Yes. ASL interpreters have been secured and will be displayed on Jumbotron.

Will there be closed captioning available on the screens for all of the speakers?

Yes, there will be closed captioning available during speeches. 

Will there be accessible porta potties?

Yes, we will have porta potties and wheelchair accessible porta potties on site. 

Will there be any signage to help with wayfinding?

Yes, we will have signage available to help direct participants.

Where is the entrance for accessibility seating?

The designated entry point for attendees with accessibility needs is at 6th Street SW and Jefferson Drive SW – immediately north of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Space in the accessible area is limited.
